I'm excited to announce that we are now taking orders for the winter Nashville Aquarist group buy. How quickly we can place the order really depends on how much interest we receive. Once we receive enough participants to meet the minimum order amount ($100) we will set an order date.

I ran out of space in this post for the order list, so see here.

UPDATE:
The order has been placed. There were problems on only a few items and I think we have them resolved. Barring any complications, I should be picking up the order Tuesday afternoon from the airport. Below is the tentative list of pickup times/locations. Please CALL AHEAD (414-9739) to schedule where & when you'll be picking up your order.

Tuesday, Nov. 6th
9am-11am @ 810 Currey Rd, Nashville TN 37217
6pm-11pm @ 810 Currey Rd, Nashville TN 37217

Wednesday, Nov 7th
10am-6pm @ 3314 West End Ave, Nashville, TN 37203
7pm-11pm @ 810 Currey Rd, Nashville TN 37217

All pickups must be scheduled during one of the above blocks of time unless other arrangements are made.

I would be interested in knowing who this is coming from.

There are several wholesalers whose fish I do NOT want in my tanks.

Feel free to email me, no need to post it here.

It's not a secret. We're planning the order from TFDFish.

I've read a lot about them on MonsterFishKeepers forum and there seems to be a lot of people who do a lot of business with them and are very pleased.

It may be worth noting that, while these prices are amazing, they only guarantee live delivery. This isn't like the Aquatic Critter where you get a two week guarantee.

I may be in for TFD thats one of my main suppliers. I have ordered enough from him to know customer service is top notch however DOA's are arrive on a regular basis when i order from him, he always refunds for them though no questions asked. My other supplier actually uses his same list and ups the price a little bit but he is closer and I get less DOA's but if we are going to do a group by from Joe then I guess Im in. most of his fish are so cheap that  unless you get really expensive fish $100 will be hard on the average buyer due to tank space. I know a few of his SA cichlids are under a buck.

Glad to have you on board Trotter! :)

The forums have been pretty quiet lately so I think there's a number of members who aren't checking for new threads very regularly. I'm betting that once word gets out we'll hit the minimum order pretty quickly.

My wife is off to London this weekend and we just bought a new stove/oven so there's no way I can splurge on this order...but he's definitely got some nice deals on fish that would cost a ton at Aquatic Critter.

If it can wait two weeks, I will more than meet the minimum.

There is atleast 250$ worth of fish I wish to order.

I was thinking we'd place the order in November so two weeks is no problem. :)

I know  Joe personally and he is a good guy.. sometimes, Fish are mislabled but not often and its usually because they are put in the wrong tank by his employees. I will say he has some great healthy Rays. and Cats.  His African Cichlids are not a fav of mine because they are from Chinese farmers and are always great looking when I first get them then they fade drastically, Its not his fault but the wholesalers that supply them inject them with hormones to make them more colorful however this also colors females and makes sexing almost impossible. thats my only drawback on his fish, aside from the african cichlids, All the others are very top notch.  he even had crocadile fish before. not sure what it is? do a google for it, very mean but cool fish.  sometimes he gets in Fugu puffers 10-14" at only $50.00 :O thats insane , unfortunantly he dosent get them in that size very often.

hey gains, how were you planning on getting these shipped from Joe? He uses DHL and FedEx however he will also do airport to airport which is the prefered way since its cheaper than the others and its actually recived same day its shipped.  Also Joe updates his list every Monday so stock tends to change. The new prices  are typically listed by 11:30 am every Monday.
